BLCK VC Event Recap!

Did you know that only 3% of all Venture Capital investment companies are Black owned? That means it’s harder for BIPOC owned businesses to find growth capital to expand their business ventures. That’s why we were so excited to welcome BLCK VC to The Urban Grape for an insightful and inspiring wine tasting event on February 21st, featuring selections made Black South African winemakers!

BLCK VC is transforming the venture capital industry to mirror the diverse demographics of the U.S. Venture Capital is a crucial component of achieving economic equality; it is a vehicle to build wealth, develop future leaders, and strengthen communities. Their motto is “We Rise Together,” which fits pretty well with “Drink Progressively” if you ask us!
