We're making it easy to stay connected with people across the country with our vibrant and engaging virtual events.
In 2020, we learned a new super power: making virtual wine events fun, festive, entertaining, and engaging - no one turns their camera off on our virtual tastings! Learn to swirl, sniff, taste and decode the wine in your glass with our virtual wine educators, all of whom will have your guests fully immersed in the experience.
Our virtual tastings include:
- Delivery across Massachusetts and shipping to 44 states
- Fully customizable virtual tasting packages, with the ability to include personalized notes or branded swag
- Tasting mats so your group can organize their experience like a pro
- An engaging and knowledgeable sommelier to lead your group. Cameras on for maximum engagement!
- A post-event shopping discount for your group
- We can accommodate any size group. Please allow three weeks or more for shipping fulfillment
Pricing
- Packages begin at $40 per person, plus the cost of wine, and your Progressive Pours by Urban Grape strategic partner will work with you to put together a fully customizable package to meet your guests’ needs, tastes and interests.
- Free delivery to all participants within our Boston Proper delivery zone is included, plus a one hour event. We may assist with shipping outside of our delivery zone, where permitted. Shipping costs will be determined at the time of fulfillment
- Progressive Pours by Urban Grape has several qualified & personable wine educators on staff, ready to make your event unforgettable. In addition, enhanced and DEI-focused wine tastings with Urban Grape Founder, TJ Douglas, are available for an additional fee.
Policies
A minimum of $800 is required for each virtual event, and payment in full is required before any wine may be delivered. The event payment is refundable, minus a 15% administrative fee, if cancellation is made by 12PM EST, 14 days prior to the scheduled date of the event. If the event is canceled or postponed within 14 days of the event date, the client is able to use the payment as a store credit for a rebooked event. Progressive Pours by Urban Grape will not refund the cost of any shipped or delivered wine, even if the virtual event is canceled.
VIRTUAL EVENT FORMAT
- Virtual wine tastings hosted by our Progressive Pours by Urban Grape team take place within a one-hour timeframe on a video platform of your choosing.
- Your Urban Grape educator will highlight each selection with fun stories and facts, encouraging participation from the attendees when appropriate. All of your burning wine questions will be answered throughout.
DELIVERY OF WINE
- To ensure timely and accurate delivery of wines, participant information (including full name, delivery address, phone number, and email address) must be remitted to Urban Grape a minimum of four weeks prior to the event date, and the invoice must be paid in full prior to any stock leaving Urban Grape’s possession.
- Delivery of wine within Boston Proper is included in the event base price and will be completed by Urban Grape’s insured delivery drivers. Our drivers will also deliver with the I95 loop for $10 per delivery address. We may assist with shipping outside of our delivery zone, where permitted based on shipping rates. The Urban Grape is a licensed Massachusetts FedEx shipping company.
- Tracking information for each delivery will be sent to the phone number and email address provided for each participant, and may be arranged for a particular day, according to the recipient’s needs.

On average, packages arrive between 1 and 5 days prior to the event. Each recipient will receive an email notifying them of their shipment or delivery, including a tracking number for those packages being shipped.
