Join us in raising a glass to honor this significant day and discover the beauty of Black-owned businesses.
What is Juneteenth?Juneteenth, also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day, is an annual holiday celebrated on June 19th. It marks the day in 1865 when Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, effectively ending slavery in the United States. Juneteenth serves as a powerful reminder of the struggles, resilience, and triumphs of Black Americans throughout history.
One of the best ways to mark this day and celebrate Black people, The Culture, and the Black economy is through supporting a Black-Owned Business. The Urban Grape is a proudly Black-Owned wine shop, certified with By Black of the U.S. Black Chambers Inc.
